The door of Jen's friend's restaurant. Wait 'till you see inside! Sugoi desu yo! It's so great!

The room we were given-- it was nice and open and those windows are sliding doors that look out over a river and a waterfall!

Ahh-- the spread of food that we ordered. Complete with cute little covered bowls and everything.

The main course: Unagi-don. That's barbequed eel on rice. It's sooo good! Oishii desu!

The ubiquitous soup: Miso-shiro. It's part of just about every meal here, including breakfast.

Japanese pickles! Cucumbers (and other things) soaked in salted water. They're pretty good.

I think these are pickled onions. I liked 'em.

Tofu-stuff. I'm not sure exactly what it is. It wasn't bad, though.

Homemade apple pie, made by Jen's friend. It was really good too! Ah, a little taste of home... :)
